Since 2003 Charles has worked mostly in industry. He spent 5 years as the chief accountant and group financial controller at Omnicom Media Group UK. From 2016-19 he was the finance director at Caffe Kix Limited (workplace cafes).
Charles has had a varied career with business administration being the underlying theme. After graduating in Economics he trained as a corporate lawyer with Allen & Overy, qualifying as a solicitor in 1996.
In 1997 he moved to the retail industry and spent 2 years working as a sales assistant. This gave him a better understanding of how businesses operate on a day-to-day level.
In 1999 he moved to the accountancy profession. He trained with Mazars and then went to KPMG where he was an assistant manager in audit.
